We are dedicated to making your experience as enjoyable as possible. On this page you will find our policies with regards to our ballroom classes. GeneralPaymentPayment in full for the entire course is due on or before the first class. Snow DaysWe will make every effort to conduct classes during inclement weather. At our discretion if it appears that driving conditions are too dangerous we will cancel the class. Such a cancellation will occur no less than one hour before the class begins. Cancellation notices will be available at our phone number. In addition, we will make every effort to call each student at the phone number(s) provided when the student registers. AttireWe have no specific clothing requirements. We do suggest wearing something comfortable and non-restrictive. We will be dancing on studio-quality wooden floors. For the protection of the studio floors, we request that you bring separate shoes to wear for the dance class. This helps prevents tracking wetness and dirt in. Do not wear sneakers or other rubber-soled shoes for a dance lesson. These shoes tend to track pebbles and other debris that become embedded in the floor, ruining them. Acceptable shoes include any dress or casual shoe that does not have a sole with treads. Rubber soled shoes will make it considerably harder to perform certain dance steps (such as spins) and are not recommended. RefundsWe recognize the value of a happy customer. For various reasons, it may become impossible for you to attend a class. At any time during the class you may choose to stop attending. If you so choose, a refund will be issued in an amount corresponding to the remaining classes, computed at a rate of 15% of the cost of the class per remaining lesson. Refunds will not be issued for classes already missed, regardless of when you cancel your class. (NOTE: Have A Ball Dance Studios works with several studio locations. Therefore, the refund policy of the studio may affect our ability to refund classes. Please ask for more information.) Group ClassesClass Size RequirementsWe require a minimum class size of 6 students. It simply isn't affordable to conduct a class if less than 6 students are attending. If you sign up for a class and there are not 6 students by the time the class begins, the class will be cancelled. You will be notified 24 hours before the class begins if this is the case. In this instance, you can either apply the cost of the class to another offering or receive a refund, at your discretion. Alternatively, you can work with any other students that have signed up to create a private package, teaching exactly what you want. See Private Lessons. Missed ClassesIf you miss a single class, we will offer a 15-30 minute private makeup at a mutually convenient time and place. There may be a minimal fee to cover the cost of the studio. If you miss two or more consecutive classes, you will have to schedule a private make-up class at our usual private rates. We recognize that occasionally events conspire to create a situation beyond your control that causes you to miss several classes. In certain circumstances and at our discretion we may grant a make-up lesson at a reduced rate. Private LessonsMissed ClassesA student missing a private class with no advance notice will incur a fee of 1/2 of the price of the class. This fee covers the reservation of the studio and the time the teacher has lost. If you provide notice at least four hours prior to the scheduled lesson, there will be no fee incurred. |
